Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Sedan on Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY, CA (August 9, 2023) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident on Alessandro Boulevard in Moreno Valley Tuesday morning on August 8.

The fatal accident happened around 5:20 a.m. at the intersection with Graham Street. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a Kia Optima struck the bicyclist in unclear circumstances.

After the crash, the driver immediately stopped and waited for first responders.

Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics arrived soon after, and found the bicyclist lying in the roadway with significant injuries.

The victim was rushed to nearby Riverside University Medical Center, where he later died.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia was unharmed and cooperated with deputies.

No arrest has been made at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
