Deavon Richardson
Deavon Richardson, a 16-year-old junior at Southern Nash High School, is The Enterprise’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week. Richardson is an outside linebacker and fullback on the Firebirds varsity football team.
“What I like about the sports here at Southern Nash is we have great coaches who care and want to make our teams better,” Richardson said. “And I believe that is what makes Southern Nash a great and fun program to play at.”
He also mentioned the camaraderie among his “brothers” on the football team, which recently won the 2-A/3-A Big East Conference regular-season championship.
Richardson’s passion for football was ignited by watching games on TV as a child. He said he was captivated by the cheering fans and “players making plays and battling with the teammates playing the sport they love.”
After graduation, Richardson aspires to continue playing football in college.
