They said prosecutors have not fully established that an exemption applies, however, the state has filed a motion to seal the letters.Read is charged with second degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe.Prosecutors said she backed into O’Keefe with her sport utility vehicle outside a Canton home in January 2022. Read’s lawyers claim law enforcement is conspiring to protect O’Keefe’s true killers.Read’s lawyers said the letters contain communications between District attorney Michael Morrissey’s office, the U.S. attorney‘s office for the District of Massachusetts and the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility, the Globe reported.
