Man Dies after Struck by Car on Mission Boulevard near Wineville Road
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 25, 2023) – Hunter Gray was hit and killed by a car in Jurupa Valley early Saturday morning on September 23.
The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on Mission Boulevard, just east of Wineville Road. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Gray stepped into the roadway crossing into the eastbound lanes when a vehicle traveling east on Mission Boulevard struck him.
Arriving deputies found Gray severely injured in the roadway.
Despite life-saving measures, Gray was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 27 years old.
The driver was unharmed and remained on scene to cooperate with deputies.
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
